Heb 3:8-11 …as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear His voice (10 commandments were first spoken by YHWH Himself in Exodus
20), Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of
temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw
my works forty years. Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in [their]
heart; and they have not known my ways (Y'ashua kept the Sabbath). So I sware
in my wrath (bowls which will be poured out in Rev 16:1),
They shall not enter into MY REST (He rested on the seventh day in Genesis 2:2).
Note: If YHWH spoke the 10 instructions Himself
(Exodus 20), they are extremely important and solid. He made it very clear. He
doesn’t change His mind as we do, and what He proclaimed once can’t be changed
in any way. “My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that gone out of
my lips” (Psa 89:34)

Is it only for Jews? here
is an answer:
Heb 4:2
For unto us (Jews) was the gospel preached, as
well as unto them (Gentiles): but the word
preached did not profit them (Gentiles),
not being mixed with faith in them (pagan traditions
like Sun-day, Easter, Christmas etc.) that heard [it].
We know about 4th commandment but
coming from pagan background and influenced by Hellenistic philosophy we mix our
beliefs and understanding, we change or explain things by reasoning on wrong
fundament. Let’s recall – our fundament is living by the Word. And the Word were spoken, written and even became flesh!
Heb 4:3-4 For we which have believed do
enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall
enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the
world (here is the clear reference to Genesis 2:2 which
states that His rest is the Sabbath and it was established from very beginning
even before 10 commandments were spoken out).
For he spake in a certain place (Genesis 2:2, there were no chapters and verses at a time of Shaul, so he says "certain place") of the
seventh [day] (not the first one or another, order is
important!) on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day (“My rest”) from all his works.
Heb 4:5 And in this [place] again (Psa 95:11), If they shall
enter into my rest
“My rest” is also the Promised Land,
if we don't obey and keep the commandments including Sabbath Y’shua’s blood works no more and we won't enter New Jerusalem
(our Promised Land). The
Sabbath millennium is the seventh prophetic day,
where the King of Kings will reign.
Heb 4:6 Seeing therefore it (Sabbath)
remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to
whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
Sabbath is the shadow picture of entering in
heavens, the Sabbath millennium. It is the pass through, the seal – if you do
not have it you stay outside, you do not enter!!!
Heb 4:7
Again, he limiteth a CERTAIN (7th!!!)
day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as
it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice (4th
commandment), harden not your hearts.
What do you feel and think right
now?! Shaul says “hearden
not your heart”, please!!!
Just trust
and believe, without faith you can’t get to the Father.
Heb 4:8 For if Jesus (Christ,
or Y’shua) had given them (Apostles and His close followers) rest, then would he
not afterward have spoken of another day (like
Sun-day?).
Right in the bull’s eye!!!
SUMMARY:
Heb 4:8
There REMAINETH therefore 'sabbatismos' [original greek
text] to the people of God (not only Jews but
all in the Messiah). (the thought is not yet
finished…)
Heb
It is clear stated that practicing of Sabbath
(“certain day”=7th) remains and how to do it. Do it as YHWH did and as He
instructed! Here it is:
Heb
It is not legalism, it is not me who wants it, it is not even the Old Testament. ALL above is from
Scriptures inspired by YHWH, you can't deny or ignore it, as it says:
Heb 4:12 For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful,
and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to
the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is]
a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (conflictless and ignorant Sunday life or "let us hold
fast [our] profession" Heb 4:14).
I hope ‘the sword’ made it into your
heart and mind as a surgeon removes the cancer.
It is
painful now but freedom and blessing afterwards. Pray, fast and make your
decision in favor of the Almighty.
